In non-Internet life, I'm the reference librarian at a small college in upstate New York. In addition to my library master's degree, I have an M. A. in Art History and a B.A. in Studio Art. I'm also a Wiccan initiate in the Blue Star tradition, and am a member of a Blue Star grove in western New Jersey. I've studied astrology on and off during the last 25 years (something I still find hard to believe), in addition to Tarot, I Ching, and "occult" and spiritual matters in general. I also hosted a weekly Pagan-oriented astrology chat for America Online's Religion & Beliefs area from 1996 to 2000. Last but certainly not least, I live in a beautiful area of New York state with my delightful husband Steve (a network administrator and all-around computer guy), many books, four cats, and assorted plants.

My connection with Puck started in 1994, when one of my friends teased me about the user name I'd created for the online service we both subscribed to. This irked me, so I decided to add another screen name which was more expressive of my true nature. I chose "Puck" for my love of Shakespeare, my love of hockey, and my puckish sense of humor. The trickster aspect of the name was revealed some time later, when I began chat hosting and used "Puck" as part of my hosting name. Many people thought that "Puck" was male, and addressed "him" online as such! I was always amused at people's assumptions, and got a kick out of the gender-bending aspect of the name.

I started this page as a way to publish some astrology material which I developed for workshops at my Blue Star grove's retreats and at the Free Spirit Gathering. My Wiccan and Pagan "family" has found this material useful; I hope you do too. You're welcome to share this material or make copies of these pages as long as you include the URL of the pages and credit me as their creator, just as you would if you were citing a book or a magazine article.

This site was created using Dreamweaver 3.0, and is best viewed at a resolution of 1024 x 768. I used Elizabeth Castro's "HTML 4 for the World Wide Web" as my HTML reference book; it was relatively inexpensive ($19.99), concise, and didn't weigh 5 pounds! (The 5th edition is now available; more information at: http://www.cookwood.com/html/) I also used the VisiBone website for help in choosing web-friendly, non-dithering colors. My site doesn't use cascading style sheets (CSS), sound files, wallpaper, or animated graphics. It's not that I don't like them (I think they have their place in the Webpage world); I just wanted to create a site that would be accessible to as many people as possible, would load quickly, and provide the least amount of annoyance to visitors.
